The Origin Story

On October 9, 2024, Hurricane Milton struck Florida. Among the homes damaged was the residence of Stuart Nixdorff — a technology entrepreneur and CEO of LossIntel Inc. — at 7142 Westmoreland Drive, Florida.

Stuart held a homeowner policy with Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company. After the storm, he filed a claim. Universal's settlement offer arrived February 18, 2025: $23,266.28.

Something didn't add up. Stuart engaged Horse & Crown, an independent appraisal firm. Their comprehensive damage assessment: $892,465.57.

Total recovery to date: $792,621.62. Total recovered across all ClaimRestored claims to date: $792,621.62. That is a 34-times multiplier over the initial offer.

This wasn't a rounding error. It was a systematic pattern — the same pattern that plays out across tens of thousands of Florida hurricane claims every year, in homes where the owner doesn't know how to push back.

Why ClaimRestored Exists

Most Florida homeowners don't have the technical background to recognize when their claim is underpaid. They don't know about Civil Remedy Notices under Florida §624.155. They don't know how to interpret their policy's appraisal clause. They don't know how to read a depreciation schedule. And after a storm, they're exhausted, displaced, and dealing with contractors.

Carriers know this. The strategy — sometimes called Delay, Deny, Defend — has been documented since the 1990s. Make the process painful enough, and most homeowners take whatever is offered.

ClaimRestored changes the information asymmetry. Our AI pipeline gives every Florida homeowner access to the same analytical firepower that insurers use to evaluate claims — built on the same public records that tell the story of how carriers handle claims across the state.

The Technology

ClaimRestored is built on LossIntel Inc.'s AI infrastructure — a 10-agent pipeline running on Claude Sonnet and XGBoost:

Document Intelligence

AI extracts damage data from your policy, inspection reports, contractor estimates, and photos. No manual data entry.

CRN Benchmarking

Your claim is compared against 100,412 Florida DFS Civil Remedy Notice records — the largest public dataset of FL carrier dispute patterns.

Statutory Analysis

The pipeline checks your claim against Florida insurance statutes, HB 527 compliance requirements, and applicable FEMA disaster declarations.

Gap Analysis

An AI settlement gap analysis identifies items that may have been missed, undervalued, or improperly depreciated in your settlement.

Evidence Package

The pipeline assembles a structured evidence package suitable for use with a public adjuster, attorney, or carrier dispute process.

FEMA & SBA Screening

Every claim is screened for federal disaster assistance eligibility — a resource many homeowners don't know to pursue.

Our Commitment to Florida Homeowners

We built ClaimRestored on one premise: the information needed to fight an underpaid claim exists — in public records, in policy language, in statutory law — but it's inaccessible to ordinary homeowners without weeks of research and professional guidance. Our mission is to make that information available to every Florida homeowner in minutes, not months.

The free tier is free because we believe every homeowner deserves to know whether their claim was handled fairly before they decide whether to take further action.
